Turnover rent offers tenants a cheaper operational cost in running their business.為協助租戶做更多生意，商場多採取積極進取的宣傳推廣計劃，吸引人流，刺激消費，達致雙贏。值得一提，國內有很多的零售及百貨業亦已收取分成租金。
Turnover rent is often seen in retail leases, although both basic rent and turnover rent are used in the rental agreements in mall and department stores. Basic rent is a fixed amount of money regularly paid as specified in the contract whereas turnover rent is only charged at a certain percentage when the business exceeds a predetermined turnover volume. This practice offers tenants a cheaper operational cost in running their business if their sales turnover fluctuates.
