「嘟!」 不論是穿過港鐵車站閘機,抑或於商店付賬,熟悉的響聲代表著港人慣以為常的高效和方便。引領香港電子付款業先驅八達通集團穩步前進的,是公司行政總裁張耀堂(Sunny),他亦是領展可持續發展委員會成員。

Sunny說:「現時香港市面有約3,000萬張八達通卡流通,香港能夠保持快速的步伐,有賴於瞬息間處理每宗交易。縱使科技讓我們可以透過手機提供服務,膠卡因易用且生產成本低,將繼續是以相宜價格廣泛推廣服務的重要渠道,並且有助推動社區可持續發展。」

八達通及領展兩者都跟公眾緊密互動,運作較易受外界的關注。Sunny於零售銀行及支付業務經驗豐富,其精闢見解有助企業駕馭現今具挑戰的商業環境,回應對企業公民責任日益提升的期望及迅速科技發展。

Sunny表示:「領展對我們的電子付款給予支持,不但優化停車場的出入管控,還令鮮活市場的顧客再不用以貨幣交易,享受超級市場一般的方便。領展透過支持租戶營商、減少能源消耗、提倡剩食回收,多年來積極推動可持續發展。」

「香港企業面對的重要挑戰之一,在於企業公民責任經常跟價格議題掛鈎,價格調升往往疑為賺取過高利潤。藉著擴闊市場分眾,為顧客提供更廣泛的服務選擇,有助釋除有關疑慮。為此,領展一直優化商場服務及拉闊商戶組合,更好滿足不斷擴展的顧客群。」

精於化危為機的Sunny,亦樂於分享心得,他說:「有謂『防患未然』,企業需要建立企業文化,以鼓勵前線員工對危機徵兆有敏銳觸覺,及早識別並且向管理層呈報,以助化險為夷。」

Sunny亦談及影響商界的科技趨勢。「香港人口稠密,人們較多愛光顧實體店舖。未來網上及實體店將會並存共生,互補不足,透過服務整合,為購物者提供更佳體驗。社交媒體既是與持分者溝通的新平台,亦為名聲管理帶來挑戰。企業把握新媒體帶來的機會時,亦需要了解網民思考及溝通方式,適應注重互動及分享的文化。」

“Dood.” The familiar sound we hear when we pass through the MTR ticket gate or make a purchase using an Octopus card is perhaps the most noticeable reminder of the convenience and efficiency we have grown so used to. Guiding the company that is at the forefront of the e‑payment business in Hong Kong is Sunny Cheung, CEO of Octopus Cards Limited, and also a member of Link’s Sustainability Advisory Committee.

“With 30 million Octopus cards currently in issue, we are keeping Hong Kong on the move by ensuring that each payment transaction is processed instantaneously,” Sunny explained. “While technology has enabled our services to be delivered through smartphones, plastic cards, which are easy to use and economical to produce, remain a key part of our efforts to make our services available widely and inexpensively, and advance community sustainability.”

Both Octopus and Link are businesses that interact with and are closely watched by the general public. As a business leader with profound experience in retail banking and e‑payment services, Sunny’s insights are invaluable to organisations navigating their way in today’s challenging business environment, which is characterised by rising expectations of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and rapid technological advancement.

“With Link’s support of our electronic payment services, access control for its car parks has been streamlined, and shoppers at its market stalls can now enjoy the same convenience of cashless payment offered by supermarkets. Link has done a lot over the years to carry out social responsibilities in terms of helping small retailers grow their business, reducing energy consumption and water use, and promoting food recycling.” he noted.

“A major challenge facing Hong Kong enterprises is that CSR is often linked to pricing issues, and fare increases often raise mercenary concerns. Widening service offerings through market segmentation to cater to customers of varied needs is a way to address this. To this end, Link has been working to enhance services and broaden the retail choices at its shopping centres to better serve a growing base of shoppers.”

A leader skilled in crisis management, Sunny said, “As prevention is always better than cure, companies need to foster a culture in which frontline staff members have the sensitivity to identify issues that are symptomatic of bigger risks, and the courage to bring them to the management’s attention.”

Commenting on popular technological trends impacting business, Sunny said, “Hong Kong being a compact city, people tend and prefer to patronise physical stores. Going forward, instead of one displacing the other, online and physical stores are likely to coexist and cross over to give better experiences and value to shoppers. On a related note, while social media can offer new ways to engage stakeholders, it poses new risks in reputation management. When tapping this new medium, businesses need to learn about how netizens think and communicate, and they need to be ready to embrace a sharing culture and a more interactive tone.”

為加強對認知障礙症患者及其家人的支援,領展支持賽馬會「腦動耆跡」計劃。該計劃已為領展的前線員工提供訓練課程,增加對該病症的知識,以便識別症狀並作出相應的協助。領展則提供拍攝場地及動員職員和商戶,協助拍攝有關公眾教育短片。

領展主席聶雅倫於樂富廣場舉行的計劃啟動禮上指出,期望透過領展的社區網絡,傳達有關社區共融和關愛老人認知障礙患者的訊息。

Link is supporting the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Dementia Friendly Communities Campaign, which has provided training for Link’s frontline staff to enhance their knowledge and know‑how in this area, enabling them to recognise relevant symptoms and respond appropriately. A promotional video on dementia awareness was also produced as part of the campaign, with Link providing the filming venue and arranging for staff and tenants to be actors in the film.

生咗啦! 領展資助香港導盲犬協會購買的導盲犬,成功年初在港誕下七隻精靈可愛的小寶寶,為導盲犬在港開支散葉踏上重要一步,幫助香港視障人士。導盲犬冷凍精子來自澳洲,是澳洲首次在境外以冷藏精子人工受孕誕下導盲犬的個案。

領展自2014/15年度起透過「愛‧匯聚計劃」,持續捐助香港導盲犬協會,除斥資購買八隻導盲幼犬供該會培訓,亦有捐助導盲犬本地繁殖的工作,以增加在港導盲犬數目。

Seven adorable puppies, offspring of a Link‑sponsored guide dog named Eve, were born earlier this year, marking a key step in supporting visually impaired people in Hong Kong through the local breeding of guide dogs. This was also the first successful case outside of Australia in which the pregnancy of a guide dog was achieved through artificial insemination (chilled semen from a dog in Australia was used). Since 2014/15, Link has supported the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association through Link Together Initiatives, providing funding to purchase eight guide dog puppies and support their training while also sponsoring a local breeding programme to increase the number of guide dogs in Hong Kong.

領展連續第三年聯同機場管理局及救世軍港澳軍區,舉辦禮物捐贈活動,於旗下十個商場及機場客運大樓設置捐贈箱,收集近62,000件禮物,包括衣服、食品、文具及玩具等。禮物由救世軍轉贈予有需要的兒童及家庭,送上關懷,共享新春喜悅。

領展企業傳訊主管楊玉雲說:「領展致力服務社群及推動香港的可持續發展,今年於旗下十個主要商場設置禮品捐贈箱,方便更多市民支持捐贈活動。各地區商場的商戶及顧客均熱心回應與支持,顯示領展的商場網絡連繫社區,加強社會凝聚力以締造更美好的未來。」

For the third consecutive year, Link held a gift donation campaign in partnership with the Hong Kong Airport Authority, and the Salvation Army Hong Kong and Macau Command. Gift collection boxes were placed at 10 of Link’s shopping centres and at Hong Kong International Airport, gathering over 62,000 gifts, including apparel, food, stationery and toys. The gifts have been distributed to underprivileged children and their families by the Salvation Army to extend care for them and share the festive joys during the Chinese New Year.

Joyce Yu, Link’s Head of Corporate Communications, said, “Link is committed to serving the community and advancing our city’s sustainable development. The placement of donation boxes at 10 of our major shopping centres has enabled more members of the public to support the 2017 donation campaign. The overwhelming response and support from our tenants and shoppers in the different districts demonstrate that Link’s network of shopping centres provides the strong social cohesion that links local neighbourhoods and communities to a brighter future.”

著名藝人鄭裕玲出名工作態度認真,她在領展商戶學堂中,與一眾商戶分享工作心得,並勉勵新入行從事零售業的年輕人,首一、兩年的工作經驗是職場的磨練,不要怕辛苦和覺得懷才不遇,多留意身邊事,好好學習。

她亦分享,守時是做人最基本的要求。每日提早到達工作間,為工作做好準備,是職場致勝之道。一個專業的零售業從業員,應以笑容、心思來贏取顧客的信任,亦要對產品熟悉和留意顧客的品味和要求。

Well-known for her strong work ethic, renowned TV artiste DoDo Cheng shared her tips for a successful career with tenants at Link Tenant Academy. She advised young people in the retail industry not to be afraid of working hard in their early years, as it will equip them with useful skills for future career development.

DoDo also explained that punctuality is a virtue that helps one get ahead, which is why she always arrives at the workplace early for preparations. According to DoDo, cheerfulness and thoughtfulness are the keys to winning customers’ trust in the retail industry. Retailers must likewise have strong product knowledge and show a keen awareness of customers’ tastes and desires.

迄立在大埔廣福邨近30年的嘉華咖啡小食,於2016年12月底光榮結業,老闆方賜強表示,由於多年來與弟弟對舖頭出品的食物有一份堅持和執著,從不假手於夥計,所以製作的食品能保持色香味美,贏得街坊和慕名而來的人士支持,例如鹽焗雞炒飯、咖哩牛腩、炸雞肶,以及凍檸茶等,都深受食客愛戴。

正正因為一份「放唔低」,令方老闆從清晨四點起床,工作至黃昏六、七時,每天工時長達14小時,所以他希望趁租約期滿來過悠長假期,好好休息一下,再探索未來的路向。他更表示,若休息後重操故業,都希望能繼續與領展合作,服務大埔區居民。

After serving customers in Tai Po for nearly 30 years, Ka Wah Coffee & Snacks at Kwong Fuk closed its doors at the end of December 2016. The stall won a loyal following and its customers’ hearts with delicious home‑cooked dishes, including salt‑baked chicken with fried rice, curry beef brisket, deep‑fried chicken thighs and iced lemon tea, all popular favourites amongst the neighbourhood’s residents.

To maintain the quality of the dishes, stall operator Fong Chi‑keung emphasised that he himself had to take up all the cooking and food preparation with his brother over the years. His 14‑hour workday typically starts at 4 am, lasting well into the early evening. Even with such a heavy workload, it has always been his strong sense of commitment that has kept him going.

Upon expiry of the stall’s tenancy, Fong will take a long break and think about his next steps in life. However, should he later decide to go back into the catering trade, Fong said he wishes to partner with Link once again and serve his Tai Po neighbourhood.

璀璨的年花,寓意勃勃生機,新春家中必不可少。顯徑街市文記花店服務街坊近20載,東主文女士指出,街市臨近歲晚會作出彈性安排,讓她租用空置舖位展示更多貨品,把握每年的黃金檔期。

多年來跟丈夫悉心經營花檔,皆因對花藝的濃厚興趣,以及與街坊建立的深厚感情。「主動協助客人挑花,提供插花建議,細心把花紮靚,讓客人開心滿意,他們便會樂意再次惠顧。遇有老街坊帶同子女、媳婦來買花,最令我感到滿足。除了劍蘭、菊花等傳統花卉之外,我們亦有提供玫瑰、鬱金香等西式品種,加上領展進場後提升管理,令街市保持整清,都有助吸引消費力較高的年青一族。」文女士說。

Decorating the home with blossoming flowers is a long‑standing tradition to celebrate the Chinese New Year. According to Ms Man, owner of the 20‑year‑old Man Kee Florist at Hin Keng Market, during the lead‑up to Chinese New Year each year, the market gives her the chance to lease vacant stall space where she can display her wares to take full advantage of sales opportunities during the busiest season.

What has kept her and her husband in business for years is their interest in the art of floral arrangements, and their bond with customers. “The key to having repeat customers is to give them a happy experience by taking the initiative to help them pick out flowers, and offer suggestions for matching flowers. It gives me the greatest pleasure to see old customers return with their grown‑up children and in‑laws to shop with us,” she noted.

Besides the popular Chinese flower types, the shop has also introduced Western species like roses and tulips, which, coupled with Link’s efforts to enhance the market’s management and cleanliness, has helped attract younger customers with higher consumption power.

全球首間「耐克(Nike)及Jordan籃球體驗店」年初落戶領展北京歐美匯購物中心,旋即成為全球籃球迷必到的「朝聖地」。

歐美匯所處的中關村為京城校園籃球文化中心,集合眾多擁有籃球傳統的初、中及高等院校。新店面積約6,550平方呎,亮點之一為其大中華區首個「Nike+」試穿體驗區,內設仿真半場籃球場,通過設置好的體驗場景及項目選擇,讓顧客有如置身球場上,感受到所選擇的球鞋功能。

The Nike & Jordan Basketball Experience Store, the first store of its kind in the world, recently opened at EC Mall in Beijing’s Zhongguancun, an area well known as the capital city’s cradle of basketball, with its high concentration of schools boasting a strong basketball tradition. A key highlight of the 6,550‑square‑foot store is the Nike+ Basketball Trial Zone, a first‑of‑its‑kind facility which spans nearly an entire half‑court, and is powered by a gaming engine that provides real‑time, on‑screen feedback, enabling customers to experience of the functionality of Nike footwear in a realistic on‑court setting.
