領匯支持顯愛心　社群喜悅更安心

領匯一直是社區的重要平台，吸引不少社福機構進駐。為協助社福機構和慈善團體擴展服務，讓更多居民受惠，領匯提供特惠租金予這些團體租用舖位作基地，而「悅安心 ─ 嚴重殘疾人士家居照顧服務」（悅安心）就是其中之一。

照顧嚴重智障或傷健人士，壓力之大難以想像。基督教家庭服務中心遂於2011年成立「悅安心」，為有需要家庭提供跨專業服務。受惠於領匯的特惠租金，「悅安心」於去年底正式進駐順利邨，與社區拉近距離，為社區人士適時伸出援手。

該中心的綜合復康服務高級服務經理盧啟揚表示，在「悅安心」成立之前，本港對嚴重智障和傷健人士的支援非常不足。盧啟揚舉例說：「試想想全身癱瘓者怎能自行外出參加中心舉辦的日間活動呢？就算有家人協助也很困難。可見現有服務未必顧及到他們的需要。」而輪候專門照顧嚴重智障和傷健人士的院舍需時，當中又以觀塘及屯門區輪候人數最多，「悅安心」便為正輪候院舍的人士提供專業上門護理服務。

「悅」是「悅安心」的核心價值，員工在服務受惠者的過程中都感到喜悅。

「悅安心」現時有約100名員工，照顧約230個家庭，其中住在「四順」 (即順利邨、順安邨、順天邨、順緻苑) 和秀茂坪的佔近三成。由於社區對此服務需求殷切，「悅安心」在成立半年後便將服務範圍擴展至黃大仙區，協助更多東九龍區的家庭。

在進駐順利邨前，「悅安心」的臨時辦事處設在觀塘工業區，經常要借用其他場地舉辦活動，對市民和職員來說都非常不便。現在中心正式扎根社區，既方便職員往服務使用者家中，居民來查詢和尋求協助也更容易。盧啟揚說：「我們還打算在辦事處設立『家屬資源角』，讓家屬隨時前來看參考書，增長知識，我們也可以多些與他們接觸。」

「悅安心」不但減輕受惠家庭的壓力，提高他們的生活質素，更協助他們融入社區，名副其實令受惠家庭喜「悅」、「安心」。

The Link’s properties have long been a hub for welfare and charitable organisations because of the concessionary rents offered by The Link which enable these organisations such as Everjoy — Home Care Service for Persons with Severe Disabilities to expand their services and benefit society.

Taking care of people with severe mental or physical handicaps requires the help of an entire community. In 2011, the Christian Family Service Centre established Everjoy, which aims to provide professional home-based services for those in need. Last year, Everjoy was relocated to Shun Lee Estate, getting closer to the community to provide a helping hand.

Kaiser Lo Kai-yeung, Senior Service Manager of the Christian Family Service Centre, said before the establishment of Everjoy, service support for people with severe disabilities was inadequate. He said, “How could paralysed people go to the centre by themselves to take part in activities? Even with the help of their family members, it’s still not easy, which shows that some of the existing services do not cater to their needs.” Worse still, it takes a long time to wait at government-funded Care and Attention Homes for Severely Disabled Persons, and the queues are particularly long in Kwun Tong and Tuen Mun. Given these shortcomings, Everjoy was established to provide professional care services.

Everjoy accepts referrals from Social Welfare Department, makes assessments and then offers tailor-made services to those in need, making use of a number of health professionals, including social workers, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and care workers. Even during holidays, staff members provide home-based services to allow family members to manage their own matters.

There are approximately 100 staff members at Everjoy taking care of around 230 families, 30% of whom live in Sau Mau Ping or the “Four Shuns”: Shun Lee Estate, Shun On Estate, Shun Tin Estate and Shun Chi Court. Due to overwhelming demand, Everjoy recently expanded its service to Wong Tai Sin to serve more families in Kowloon East.

Before moving to Shun Lee Estate, the temporary office of Everjoy was located in the industrial area of Kwun Tong. When organising activities, Everjoy was forced to rent other venues, causing inconvenience to both staff members and the people they served. Now, Everjoy is rooted in the community, and this accessibility not only brings convenience to staff members for home visits, but also makes it easier for those making enquiries and looking for help. Kaiser said, “We are planning to set up a ‘Reference Corner for Family Members’ in the office, where family members can come to educate themselves and where we can communicate with them.”

Everjoy not only takes the pressure off families and improves their quality of life, but also helps them to be more engaged in the community. Everjoy truly brings joy to those in need.

用心指導 樂於關懷
Eager to Take Care and Guide the Families

照顧嚴重智障或傷健人士不容易，有時候家人未必懂得怎樣做，舉例說，家人若不知如何正確地攙扶他們，可能會拉傷自己或令他們受傷。因此「悅安心」職員會加以指導，也會建議家人改善家居設施，方便傷健人士活動。

盧啟揚憶述，有個正值壯年的男子，中風前喜歡跑到家附近的小山上逛，但中風後要由年邁的母親照顧，加上行動不便，因此幾乎足不出戶，變得鬱鬱寡歡。「悅安心」的職員得知後便陪他重遊舊地，令他笑逐顏開。兒子得到體貼的照料，母親對職員感激不已。

盧啟揚說：「有些細微的工作，例如換門鎖，職員覺得只是舉手之勞，但在這些家庭眼中卻重如泰山。家人的感謝信對前線員工來說是莫大的鼓舞。」

Taking care of people with severe mental or physical handicaps is so difficult that sometimes even family members do not know what to do. In cases like this, Everjoy staff members provide guidance and offer help. Staff members also advise family members on how to improve facilities at home so physically disabled family members can move about more easily.

Kaiser recalled the case of a man in the prime of his life who used to enjoy taking walks to a small hill near his home. After having a stroke, however, he was no longer able to take care of himself, and had to rely on his elderly mother. He was no longer able to go outside easily and was thus very depressed. To cheer him up, Everjoy staff members accompanied him back to the small hill. He was highly delighted and his mother was also moved by the great care provided to her son.

“Small tasks such as changing door locks are easy for our staff, but they are important from the perspective of family members. Appreciation letters from families give our frontline staff great motivation to continue providing exemplary service for those in need,” Kaiser said.

早前領匯聯同香港職業發展服務處於黃大仙龍翔廣場舉行「龍翔培訓就業日」，讓領匯旗下十一間商戶進行即場招聘，提供超過一千個全職及兼職職位，職位種類繁多。活動更獲僱員再培訓局支持，為居民提供相關培訓課程資訊。

The Link, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Employment Development Service, hosted the “Job Fair - Recruitment and Retraining Event” at Lung Cheung Plaza in Wong Tai Sin earlier on. The Job Fair featured more than 1,000 full-time and part-time job vacancies of various industries provided by 11 companies from The Link’s shopping centres. The Employees Retraining Board, an independent statutory body that provides training courses and services, also supported the fair by providing information about its training courses.

Tenants of The Link are actively engaged in volunteering and taking care of people in need in the community through providing necessities and services. Five of these tenants were recently recognised as an “Outstanding Caring Shop” or “Caring Shop” in the 2012-13 Community Caring Shops Recognition Scheme.
