Now in its sixth year, "Link Together Initiatives" is making its biggest donation ever in the new funding year – $14.4 million – to support eight community projects and a scholarship programme.

Supporting young people who are the first among three generations of their families to study at a local university, the Link First Generation University Student Scholarship programme has not only increased the number of scholarships to 190 this year, but also opened the application for students in different years of study to all eligible undergraduates. The total number of applicants increased by five folds over last year.

While continuing to sponsor the six major projects from the previous year, Link Together Initiatives added two new major projects this year: “We - Go Green” organised by HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre, and “The Linker - Youth Career and Life Planning” organised by The Free Methodist Church of Hong Kong. Through its support for community projects, Link Together Initiatives has benefited about 4.5 million people since its inception in 2011.

To spread preventive health messages among seniors, Link Together Initiatives Outreach Programme partnered with the Hong Kong Chiropractic College Foundation to organise talks on neck pain and osteoporosis at elderly centres in Kin Ming Estate and Tak Tin Estate. Link’s volunteers attended both events to offer souvenirs to participating seniors.
