慈善捐款及贊助 加強社區支援
領匯一直透過特惠租金、場地贊助、投資設施提升等方式，支持眾多社區團體的工作。為進一步加強我們對社區的支援，我們最近建議開展一個慈善及社區參與計劃，讓我們可以作出慈善現金捐款及贊助。計劃中，每年的捐款上限為上一個財政年度物業收入淨額的0.25%，以2011/12財政年度為例，可撥捐的金額約為1,000萬港元。計劃之主要受惠對象為長者及弱勢社群，亦會捐助針對兒童及青少年之教育項目。
是項計劃的背景是，領匯信託契約並無明確條文授權領匯作出慈善捐款或贊助，但隨著與社區的關係更趨緊密，我們希望能為社區作出更大的貢獻，故經考慮後願意多走一步，就計劃尋求單位持有人的准許。此計劃已於七月廿五日的週年大會上獲批准通過，提供新渠道推動社區可持續發展，在此我們再次感謝基金單位持有人的支持。
As the owner-manager of shopping facilities touching the lives of many in Hong Kong, The Link is engaging the public and enhancing community cohesion through a broad range of initiatives on sustainability development. Our staff thrive on providing professional, sincere services while maintaining close relations with local residents and customers.
The strong presence of small retailers (comprising 60% of total number of shops) is a unique feature of The Link's portfolio. By enhancing trade mix, The Link has enlivened shopping environments for the benefit of tenants and shoppers. The rejuvenation of the malls has increased footfall, and level of customer satisfaction, while creating more job opportunities for the community.
The Link is working towards environmental sustainability by rolling out initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
To further our support for the community, we recently proposed a charity and community engagement programme that will enable us to make charitable donations and sponsorships to the elderly and the disadvantaged as well as educational projects for children and youngsters. The programme was approved by our unitholders at the Annual General Meeting on 25 July 2012. We would like to thank our unitholders for their support.
貫徹服務社群的宗旨，我們身體力行參與及籌辦社區盛事。舉例說，今年初天水圍天瑞商場舉辦「單車夜光火龍舞迎新春」活動，吸引一眾單車好手及市民參與後，年中亦首次贊助「赤柱國際龍舟錦標賽」，跟數萬名居民、遊客一同投入社區盛事，融入社區一年一度的節慶熱鬧氣氛。
南區區議會主席朱慶虹亦表示，每逢一年一度的龍舟錦標賽，赤柱都是人山人海，更是國際七人欖球賽外，另一項本地的國際運動盛事。他提到：「當日赤柱的車龍絡繹不絕，由深水灣開往赤柱，足足要花上45分鐘！這天可算是赤柱全年最旺的一日，可以為整個社區包括赤柱廣場及市集帶來不俗的經濟效益。」

Chairman of the Southern District Council Chu Ching-hong also stated that the annual Dragon Boat Championships has brought a large number of visitors to Stanley every year. Along with Hong Kong Sevens, the Dragon Boat race is one of the Hong Kong's major international sport events. It is the busiest day of the year in Stanley, and it creates substantial economic benefits for Stanley Plaza and Stanley market.

赤柱國際龍舟錦標賽籌備委員會主席王錦泉形容，赤柱國際龍舟錦標賽已成為國際盛事，愈來愈多大機構組隊參加。賽事早於去年9月已開始籌備，部分公司更把賽事納入公司員工活動。他說：「今年參賽的龍舟隊伍較去年增加18隊，包括多間美國銀行及金融公司，外籍人士亦特別投入參與，甚至有已調職到其他城市工作的參加者，專程回港參賽。」他續稱：「龍舟賽事已變得年輕化，今年更多了女士參加，其中男女混合賽，就有約170隊參加，數目較3年前初開辦男女混合賽時，多了3倍。女健兒不怕辛苦，有的在半年前開始練習；她們在服飾上亦落足心思，格外搶眼。」端陽熱鬧氣氛遊人如鯽

早前有指領匯佔用赤柱廣場外的公共地方，擺放餐廳專用檯凳，領匯按地政總署要求收回檯凳。南區區議會主席朱慶虹表示，向領匯了解後，得知檯凳屬公用設施，非餐廳專用，加上收到不少市民要求領匯放回檯凳，區議會亦聽取民意，支持領匯設置檯凳，現正等待地政總署批准。To build closer relations with the community, The Link actively participates in festive community events. International Sport Event Brings Joy to Visitors and Benefits Local Economy
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships Alson Wong stated that the race has become an international sport event as it has attracted the participation of a growing number of large corporations. Preparation of this year's race began last September, some companies even made the championships as one of their staff activities. Chairman of the Southern District Council Chu Ching-hong also stated that the annual Dragon Boat Championships has brought a large number of visitors to Stanley every year. Support for the Reinstallation of Tables and Chairs outside Stanley Plaza
Mr Chu said that the Southern District Council supported The Link's reinstatement of tables and chairs placing outside Stanley Plaza after consulting local residents. They were removed earlier upon the request of Lands Department. The application for reinstallation is now pending the approval of Lands Department.

倫敦奧運賽事正進行得如火如荼，領匯亦動起來，善用旗下的康樂設施，夥拍「亞洲足球訓練學校」於6月初成立「領匯社區體育學院」。今年暑假率先在全港五個社區開辦免費體育班，請來現役球員擔任教練，讓兒童及青少年接受正規而免費的籃球及足球訓練，並於商場舉辦親子夏日運動會。此外，「領匯社區體育學院」深得商戶鼎力支持，接近20間商戶為參加者免費提供餐飲及折扣優惠，令參加者、商戶、居民一同得益。
領滙以冠名贊助形式成立體育學院，頭炮活動將舉辦免費籃球及足球基礎暑期班。活動分別於青衣、長沙灣、黃大仙、天水圍及將軍澳舉行，對象是5至12歲學童。我們已預先劃出旗下商場附設的籃球場，作為培訓場地。

To better deploy recreational facilities for community use, The Link collaborated with the Asia Football Coaching Academy to launch The Link Community Sports Academy in early June of 2012. During the summer holiday, the Academy will make use of The Link's sports venues in five districts to provide free sports classes for children in these communities. The coaches include professional football and basketball players. Participants will be provided with formal training free of charge. Foreign coaches have also been invited to conduct classes in English, as it gives the participants a chance to learn and practice English during football training. Some of the quotas are reserved for charities, enabling children from low-income families to participate in the training.
We also offer foundation coach training courses specially for senior secondary school students who want to develop a career in football and basketball training. We have hired a number of CUHK Sociology majors to be summer interns at the Academy, giving them an opportunity to gain practical experience through organising a series of activities.
In addition, The Link's shopping centres will organise a series of parent-child sports events. The Link Community Sports Academy has received extensive support from tenants for its various events. The newly established The Link Community Sports Academy has selected five basketball courts in different districts as the venues for running free sports classes during non-peak hours. This will provide systematic and formal summer training to school children and teens in those communities.
